drive forms an extraordinarily well-balanced unit. Its
perfect ergonomics, the integrated grip strap and the
two separate release buttons for horizontal and vertical
pictures provide the combined unit with incomparable handiness
any situation. It features the choice of single frame
advance or sequences of up to 2 or 4.5 exposures per second.
Automatic exposure series (bracketing) are also available.

The MOTOR-DRIVE R8 provides immediate readiness at
all times, it simplifies work during extended shooting
sessions, it permits fast picture sequences on demand,
and it even opens many other interesting photo-graphic
possibilities.
Using the drive for the LEICA R 8 you can take individual
shots as well as series of exposures at the frame rate
of either 2 or 4 frames per second. It can also be used
for motor-driven rewind. The motor winder also offers
an additional bracketing function. The batteries of
the drive (8 x type Mignon) also provide the power supply
